2009 New Year Messages & Announcement: Justin Herold Synergy Of Iyengar Yoga Workshop @ 11-12 Apr'09 (Sat & Sun), Kuala Lumpur

Dear yoga enthusiasts,

Season's Greetings! Wishing you and family a blessed Christmas and New Year 2009.

As the year draws to the end, it is also an apt time to reflect on our practice, where it was in the beginning of the year and how our bodies have changed over the year. New becomes old and old becomes new again. Time is most precious. Time is fleeting and it is passing away. Utilise every second wisely. Live every moment of your life for the realisation of your wish, goal and dream.

As yogis, and as part of yoga practice, whether students and practitioners of the discipline of yoga know that as with any positive change, it has its peaks and valleys, but with commitment and perseverance, the payoff is priceless. Commitment is never easy, but it is almost always worth the effort. As the commitment grows, so will confidence, and the practice of yoga will begin to blossom well beyond the mat.

It's in these new beginnings that we give thanks for what has brought us to this place. A big "Hug and Thank You" to my husband, family, friends, relatives, teachers etc. I'm so blessed and contented to have all of you in my life. Thanks for your selflessly sharing, guidance, support and unconditonal love that showering and keeping me move on amidst this 'lovely' world ! You have truly helped me find a deep part of myself. I hope you'll find inspiration to help shine a light on your path for 2009.

May your practice in the coming year of Cow help you rediscover your body. May all the succeeding days of this year and all the future years also bring you all real peace, happiness, harmony, prosperity and success.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Synergy Iyengar Yoga Workshop by Justin Herold
-------------------------------------------------------------
I am glad to announce that Justin Herold will be coming to KL on 11-12 April 2009. Please do mark your calendars!

Janet, Ivy and myself just went to Bangkok (the only accredited Iyengar Yoga center in Bangkok, Iyengar Yoga Studio) to attend his classes as well as 1 to 1 private session for a week recently (Nov 2008). I learnt a lot and I enjoyed his classes very much for he presented his classes with passion, clarity and precision. He clearly explain and demonstrate the techniques within a pose and make us understand a lot more even those very simple poses, we really fall in love with his teaching.

This workshop will focus on the alignment of the yoga asanas according to the Iyengar method. This approach helps to deepen one’s yoga practice, prevent injuries and enhance one’s teaching skill, pragmatically. You will also learn how to use yoga props to work on your limitations/stiffness. An introduction to Pranayama will begin each day’s session.

Please do come prepared with questions with current problems you are facing in your practice, how you can deepen your practice or questions you may have about your own body structure etc. We wish that after the workshop, you will walk away with new ideas, understanding, insight and inspiration to deepen your future practice.
